As a member of Young Audiences of Oregon and Washington he teaches classes and gives presentations on drawing and comic books throughout the Northwest. He has also taught TAG, Sat. Academy, NWFSC classes and done workshops and assemblies in numerous elementary and middle schools.

Summer Art Camps, 2008

Cartooning and Comic Book Art Camp

August 4-7 from 9:00am to 12:00pm (snack provided)

• Come and have fun learning to draw some of your favorite comic book Super-Heroes and Cartoon Characters, Funny Animals, Japanese Manga and Animae.
• You will learn how to design your own Comic Book Characters using model sheets.
• We will make full-sized Comic Book Covers and Sound Effects Action Posters.
• Even start your own comic strip!

Animation Art Camp

August 4-7 from 12:30 to 3:30pm (snack provided)

• Come and have fun exploring cartoon animation using Zoetrope strips, flip books and Pixilation.
• We will experiment with different approaches to Animation Cycles -Continuous Action, Metamorphosis, Exaggeration or Lateral Motion.
• Learn how to make a continuous Walk Cycle for your cartoon character! Make rockets blast off and birds fly! Change a flower into a giraffe and back again! Mix and match to create your own complex animations by drawing and coloring on Zoetrope strips!
• All materials are provided!

After School Art Programs: Cartooning and Animation

Learn to Draw Super-heroes, Cartoon Characters, Japanese Manga and more with Spider-man artist Randy Emberlin. Come and have fun learning to draw some of your favorite comic book super-heroes and cartoon characters, dragons, Japanese Manga fantasy warriors and princesses and much more. We will also experiment with animation using Zoetrope strips and flip-books!! All materials are provided!
